Turkish Airlines’ Plane Diverted to Ankara

Turkish Airlines, flight TK879, TC-LOE tail registirated, A 330 aircraft, from Tehran to Istanbul, diverted to Ankara on suspicion of 'Corona Virus'.  A state of emergency was declared at Ankara Esenboğa Airport (ESB)

According to the information obtained by AirportHaber;  It was learned that a passenger on the plane had signs of corona virus and the crew of the plane made an emergency landing decision.

Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) issued by the instruction Turkish companies were only permitted to carry only the citizens of the Republic of Turkey from Iran.  In line with this instruction, it was stated that the passenger who was quarantined with the suspicion of Covid-19 was likely to have a Turkish identity.

According to the information acquired by AirportHaber;  It was learned that there were 132 passengers on board.
